Cook Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/3 Bag Baby carrots
  • 1 White onion
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper
  • Handful of fresh green beans
  • 1 Ear of corn
  • 1/2 Broccoli crown
  • 4 Cloves of Garlic
  • 3 Small Jalapeños
  • 2 Cups of Jasmine Rice
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1/2 to 1 Tsp of Kosher Salt
  • Teriyaki sauce (We use Panda Express.)
  • Venison (or about 1-2lbs of meat)
  • Pepper (table and/or cracked pepper)
  • Spices (Your favorite blend of red peppers. We used Flat Iron Grill’s Four Pepper blend. Just be sure to go easy on it if you use that seasoning.)
  • Olive Oil
  • Fried chow mein noodles

Prep

  1. Pepper the venison to your desired amount of pepper. Set aside for now.
  2. Slice up about 1/3 of a package of baby carrots into strips. Put into big bowl.
  3. Wash the 3 jalapeños, cut off their stems, cut them open, remove their seeds, and chop up the peppers.  Then add to bowl.
  4. Wash the green beans, cut off their ends, and cut them into about 1″ to 1 1/2″ pieces. Add to bowl.
  5. Cut the onion in 1/2 and then slice into wedge shaped pieces and separate the layers. Add to bowl.
  6. Wash the red pepper and cut in half. Remove the seeds and stem. Cut into strips. Add to bowl.
  7. Wash the corn, then cut the corn from the cob and add to bowl.
  8. Wash the broccoli crown, then cut off the tops using about 1/2 the crown, and add to bowl.
  9. Peel the 4 cloves of garlic and chop them. Add to bowl.

Cooking

Rice
  1. Put 2 cups of jasmine rice, in pressure cooker.
  2. Add 1/2 to 1 tsp of Kosher salt.
  3. Add 2 cups of water.
  4. Manual cook for 4 minutes in pressure cooker.
  5. Do a natural release for 10 minutes on the pressure cooker.
Stir Fry
  1. In a stir fry pan (or other large pan with a lid), add in a little olive oil and heat on a medium setting (we cook on about 6 of 10 on our stove).
  2. Add in all the veggies from the bowl, pepper, and your spices. (Be sure not to over do your spices. You can always add more as you cook.)
  3. Put lid on pan and Sauté veggies until they become tender. (About 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.)
  4. Lightly drizzle teriyaki sauce into veggies.
  5. Put the lid back on and let it sauté for another 5-10 minutes.  (Stirring occasionally)
  6. While that pan is simmering, pour some olive oil into another pan, add meat, and drizzle teriyaki sauce on top. Lightly brown the venison or beef. Set aside.
  7. Once the veggies have cooked down, they will be about half the volume they were.  (A good test is to see if a carrot is cooked all the way through.) Then add in the meat, leaving as much of the juices in the other pan as you can.  (You can add more teriyaki at this time if you wish.)
  8. Cook without the lid on for a bit, making sure all your meat is cooked to your desired point. (5 minutes)
How to Serve
  1. Put rice in bowl.
  2. Add stir fry on top.
  3. Add chow mein noodles.
  4. Overeat. :)
