Hatch Green Chile Venison Cheese Burgers

Serves: 4-6
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2lb Venison or Beef Hamburger Meat
  • 2 Hatch Peppers
  • 1/2 Red Onion
  • 6-8 Slices of Cheddar Cheese
  • 6-8 Hamburger Buns

Prep

  • Mince 2 Hatch Chile Peppers
  • Mince 1/2 Red Onion
  • Mix Onion and Hatch Chile Peppers into Hamburger
  • Pepper to taste
  • Roll meat into 6-8 balls depending on desired burger size then flatten. (6 for 1/3lb burgers or 8 for 1/4lb burgers, etc)

Cooking

  • Grill burgers on grill until well done (or your desired wellness) flipping occasionally
  • Once burgers are cooked add a slice of cheese. For melted cheese add while still over heat (Optional)
  • Toast the buns on the grill (Optional)
